Elder Cactus

I took a micro dose of mushrooms with a friend and we went for a walk in the desert. My intention for this trip was to connect with the part of me that is connected to the all that exists in the future. We came upon a dyeing cactus my friend points out how they become wood when they die. Patches of the green flesh fading in to wood. Death seemingly creeping up from the ground. the base rotting the life around the dying cactus seemingly pulled inward to support there elder. Watching this cactus die reminded me of watching my grandpa die. With the last signs of life leaving through the head surrounded and supported by the love of the people around them. I realize that the future is death. We spend a lot of time planning for the future thinking about where well be, who well be. If you spend to much time thinking about the future you don’t live in the present. Death is a uniting experience. It unites us with the all when we die and it unites the people around us when we die. Enjoy your life while you still have it.
